Alienation is when a landlord transfers an existing rental deposit to a new landlord.

This may happen in the event that a landlord sells a property that they own to someone else, and they need to transfer an existing tenant's rental deposit to the new landlord / owner of the property.

In the case of Alienation, mietwise will charge the landlord an administration fee of €20 (including VAT), as to cover administration and KYC ('Know Your Customer') costs.
